"How to Kill a Boombox" is a compilation of tracks produced by Raz Mesinai between 1989 and 1992, consisting of ruff beats made with simple tools, recorded directly into cassette. This first volume of these highly prismatic productions were made during a very special and rather pernicious moment when New York was "a city pulsing with tensions", and its club scene a real reflection of such urban jitters.
