A duo that is one of the best-kept surprises in the Portuguese music scene. Arianna Casellas, a Venezuelan from Caracas raised in Portugal, and Kauê Gindri, a Brazilian from the Rio Grande do Sul region, met and decided to start composing songs about the migrant experience and living uprooted. They use voice, cuatro, guitar, and percussion to create their sound.

Their music is a very free interpretation of the folklore of their homelands and other Latin American traditions, while also approaching the oral music of the country where they currently live.

At their first concert in Madrid, Arianna and Kauê will present songs from their debut album Suenan las Campanas(Lovers & Lollipops, 2024), a raw, unpolished record where Arianna’s voice carries the influence of singer-songwriters like Violeta Parra and José Mário Branco, and will appeal to fans of another unclassifiable duo, Brigitte Fontaine and Areski.
