Abril Febril is a tribute to the ferverous atmosphere of April 1974 and a reflection on its meaning today. Now in its third year, the event, held at the Concha Acústica do Palácio de Cristal, once again brings together a series of musical projects that embrace the imagery of the time and explore what revolution can mean today. This year's programme features the fusion of Galician folk music experimentation by Carme López and the pop universe of Portuguese artist and producer emmy Curl; the electronic diaspora between Portugal and Cape Verde by Fidju Kitxora; and the gypsy music culture of La Familia Gitana. These acts explore the various possibilities of what can be understood as traditional Portuguese music.
