Jadsa, an artist from Salvador, began her career in 2015 with the EP Godê, blending Brazilian sounds with rock influences. In 2020, she co-created Taxidermia with João Meirelles (BaianaSystem), merging electronic experimentation with traditional Brazilian rhythms. Her 2021 album Olho de Vidro—a tribute to Brazilian avant-garde artists like Itamar Assumpção—earned critical praise and recognition as a rising influence in Brazilian music. This album, produced by Meirelles and featuring collaborations with Ana Frango Elétrico and Kiko Dinucci, exemplifies her fusion of rock, samba, and electronic styles. In 2022, Jadsa further expanded her work, producing for Anelis Assumpção. With the upcoming Taxidermia full-length album in 2024 and her own second solo album Big Buraco set for 2025, Jadsa continues to bridge Brazilian musical heritage with innovative, modern sounds, marking her as a unique force in contemporary Brazilian music.
