Los Sara Fontan

Los Sara Fontan build their sonic universe from an unexpected arsenal: violin, pedals, synthesizers, drums, triggers, pads, cowbells, and even metal sheets. At the heart of their practice lies the transformation of acoustic sound through both analog and digital processes. For Sara Fontan and Edi Pou, creation emerges from improvisation, the embrace of error as a generative force, and the physical body—its gestures and extensions—as raw material.

Their music refuses to sit still. Drawing equally from classical tradition, hardcore punk, noise, IDM, and electroacoustic experimentation, they shape a language of their own—one forged in constant dialogue with, and resistance to, conventional musical structures. Every song, every show becomes an open question: What is a composition? What can a performance be? How do you exist as an artist outside an industry driven by competition and conformity?

The answer, for Los Sara Fontan, is live performance. On stage they are visceral, unrestrained, and deeply responsive to context—punk in spirit, restless in form. The audience is invited not just to listen but to imagine, to inhabit sound as an unstable and infinite terrain.

Sara begins with violin and keyboard, bending and reconfiguring them into vast sonic landscapes through electroacoustic alchemy. Beside her, Edi (also one half of the legendary underground duo ZA!) reinvents percussion as melody, stretching dynamics from the barely perceptible to the monumental. Together, they craft performances that are impossible to fix in place: physical, passionate, and perpetually becoming.
