There isn't a single person from the MySpace generation who doesn't feel nostalgic when we talk about Lobster. From their massive concerts in the most unusual places (we remember them playing in a college bathroom) to the most epic moment of all at Milhões de Festa, with that unforgettable performance in the middle of the crowd at the dearly missed Palco Vice, where many necks were surely left sore from so many people piled on top of each other. But Lobster was much more than just two guys putting on electrifying shows. Ricardo and Guilherme inspired us to release more editions, to explore new places to have bands play, to discover bands across Portugal and Europe to collaborate with, and to keep pushing forward in music to give everyone a chance to have a big smile and some comfort (even if it was just a bump in the mosh pit). Listening to this tape takes us back to those times, and even hearing this Colours on a Sunday morning, the chills from that intense buildup in the first minute are still the same as they were in a basement in Santo Tirso on a Friday night—such is the muscle memory they’ve left us with.
Thank you, Lobster, forever. Keep It Brutal!
