Ece Canlı made her solo debut with Vox Flora, Vox Fauna, a series of soundscapes shaped by extended vocal techniques, extralinguistic poetry, and other sonic instruments. Recorded in a rural setting, the album evokes and crystallizes the fusion of human-animal-nature, delving into telluric imaginaries inspired by the sonic variety of earthly creatures.
S A C R O S U N, her second album of original compositions, expands this auditory vision into a cosmic and subterranean panorama, insisting on a much greater verticality. The result is a deeply personal sonic universe, entirely written, performed, and produced by Canlı herself, which also functions as a musical treatise sparked by literature, philosophy, and cinematic imagery of a pluralistic cosmism.
Alongside her solo career, Canlı is also part of NOOITO, a duo with harpist Angélica Salvi; Live Low, a Porto-based band initiated by Pedro Augusto; and COBRACORAL, a vocal trio with Catarina Miranda and Clélia Colonna.
